I was born in San Antonio when my father was attending flight school and three months later we moved. My life as an Air Force dependent was off and running. My two siblings and I would move with our parents on average of every two years, both stateside and overseas.
I attended Buffalo State University College for Art Education and Ohio State University studying Ceramic Art. Eventually, I followed my parents to Dallas, Texas where I married and had three children. I was not making art during this busy time of my life but was always fortunate to work in creative fields. When all but one of my children were grown, I attended graduate school at the University of North Texas majoring in Ceramics. Upon graduating, I became a public school art educator and adjunct ceramic instructor for community colleges in both Tarrant and Dallas Counties.
Today, I am retired but not really retired. I am teaching ceramics as an adjunct at Mountain View College, painting in oils, taking road trips, and snapping more photographs than I can edit.
